Teachers' Perceptions of Self-Determination among Deaf / Hard of Hearing Students

Background: This study aims to assess the level of self-determination skills acquired by deaf and hard hearing students (HISs) as perceived their teachers. And examine whether levels differ due variations in severity, type disability, students’ age, or teachers’ years experience independent variables. The dependent variable is skills.
 Methods: A descriptive-analytical method was used. sample consisted 90 teachers who responded a questionnaire. data were analyzed with descriptive statistics through averages, standard deviations, relative weight, Kruskal–Wallis test, Mann–Whitney test validate hypotheses. 
 Results: findings revealed that HISs high views (M = 3.638, RW 72.8%). In addition, there significant differences relation disability severity ages. On other hand, no detected according experience. Independent variables significantly contribute determining hearing. Conclusion: study's present empirical evidence indicating feasibility improving for impaired suggest further studies.
